Video: Woman impales herself in the bum while texting and driving

Texting while driving isn't worth the risk, just ass (sorry), ask this woman…

Texting while driving is unfortunately a common occurrence on Irish roads, but this incident regarding a woman, her phone, her truck and a very stubborn guardrail will make you think twice about doing it in the future. While dropping off her daughter’s saxophone at school, Christina Jahnz from Colorado, USA was running late for a meeting so she decided she would save time and send a quick text while driving. "I was running late for a business meeting, so I did a voice text. I looked down to make sure it was all right. The next thing I knew, I was looking up, there was white powder from the air bags deployed," she told 9 News.

She had crashed into a steel guardrail which then went through her headlight into the cockpit and entered her thigh and buttocks before continuing out through the back of her seat. Luckily she was only travelling at 20 miles per hour, otherwise the incident could have been much worse. Ms Jahnz required 40 stitches as well as having to be cut from the truck with the bar still stuck in her body.
