Friday won’t be much better and will get off to a very wet start in Leinster and Ulster, with the rain set to clear towards the north as the day progresses. There will be even more thunder as temperatures drop significantly on Friday night, plunging to as low as 2 degrees with frost in places.
As if to sum up Ireland’s four seasons in a day approach to the weather, hailstones are a possibility on yet another mixed bag of a day on Saturday, with conditions set to turn cool and dry by Saturday night.
