Even though it may be banned now, the advert definitely made its mark.

Bookmakers Paddy Power are known for their advertisements that get people talking.

And their latest “loyalty ambassador” advert did that in abundance.

Rhodri Giggs, perhaps best-known as the brother of Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs, was unveiled as their #PaddysRewardsClub ambassador, as part of their “loyalty is dead” campaign, and it was a huge hit.

It appeared on billboards, television, and in group chats all around the country.

But alas, the advert is no more.

In a video posted on his Twitter page, Rhodri Giggs explained that he was just out of a meeting where he had been told that the advert had been banned.

He says: “I don’t know who’d want to ban it. Do you?”

Take a look here:

That little face at the end. We can’t help but wonder what he’s trying to say…

Ryan Giggs is the current manager of the Welsh national team, and never made a public response to the controversial ad.
