WATCH: Shia LaBeouf repeatedly roars in the face of Donald Trump supporter at live stream project in New York

“He will not divide us.”

Actor Shia LaBeouf has been involved in some, let’s say, ‘interesting’ projects in recent years and his latest one is aimed at illustrating public resistance to the presidency of Donald Trump.

Since 9am on Friday, the day of Trump’s inauguration, members of the public have been invited to deliver the words ‘He will not divide us’ into a camera mounted on the wall outside the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, New York.

Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, what’s described as a “participatory performance” will be live-streamed continuously for the duration of Trump’s presidency.

As you might expect on the first weekend, quite a crowd gathered in front of the camera on Saturday and Sunday, including Jaden Smith and LaBeouf himself, who was determined to shout down one Trump supporter brave enough to go up and face the camera.

In case the Trump supporter didn’t get the message, LaBeouf repeatedly roared “He will not divide us” in his ear in quite aggressive fashion, before he eventually moved away.

You can check out the stream for yourself here.
