Guess she wanted to remain.
This week is no laughing matter for Theresa May as she desperately tries to get the EU to renegotiate the Brexit deal; in which the Irish backstop is proving to be a particularly tricky sticking point.
The Irish government and the EU, however, have been pretty firm with a message that they are not prepared to change anything.
In any case, the British Prime Minister is still embarking on a European tour and her first stop is Berlin, where she will meet with the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.
Sadly for May, her car had a bit of a mishap as it arrived at the destination, leaving the Prime Minister trapped inside for a few moments.
We’re not going to say that this is a metaphor for Brexit… but, yeah, actually it is a perfect metaphor.
If you look closely, you can see Angela Merkel having a little giggle to herself.

Elsewhere, Downing Street has confirmed the House of Commons will be asked to vote on the May’s Brexit deal by 21 January.
That particular vote was supposed to happen today, before May’s dramatic decision to cancel the vote and undertake her European tour to seek further “reassurances” on the backstop.
Guy Verhofstadt, the European Parliament’s representative in the Brexit negotiations, has called Brexit a “mess” while adding that the EU will “never let down Ireland”. “It’s out of the question to renegotiate the backstop and if you are looking for a closer future relationship to avoid the backstop, this will be no problem with us,” he said.
Former British Prime Minister John Major has also called for Article 50 “to be revoked with immediate effect” and that “the clock for the moment must be stopped”.
#Brexit has become a mess. A vote delayed. Mrs May returning to Brussels. My two messages: we'll never let down Ireland; it’s out of the question to renegotiate the backstop & if you are looking for a closer future relationship to avoid the backstop, this will be no problem w/ us
