Met Éireann have issued a weather warning for several parts of Ireland on Tuesday

Another day, another weather warning.

Met Éireann have issued a status yellow rain warning for parts of Ireland for the whole of Tuesday.

The rainfall warning is issued for the whole of Connacht and three counties in Ireland: Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal,

Met Éireann stated that “some very heavy or thundery downpours are likely at times on Tuesday, mainly in parts of Connacht and Ulster with local spot flooding.”

The weather warning has been issued for 22 August from 11am to 9pm.

But wait, there’s more.

For the rest of the country, there will be a humid start to the day with extensive mist and fog.

Some sunshine will breakthrough in the morning in places but generally, it will be cloudy with a few patches of rain or drizzle.

A clearance will reach the southwest in the evening and it will turn noticeably fresher in the rest of the country with top temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees in moderate southeast winds, which will veer southwest during the evening.

Met Éireann says that tonight will see “heavy rain with thundery bursts that will continue for a time across Ulster and north Leinster early in the night but will clear away to the northeast soon after midnight.

“Cooler, clearer weather with isolated showers will then extend to all regions. Minimum temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in moderate southwesterly winds.”
