Shocking behaviour.
Gardaí have arrested and charged a man in relation to a robbery that took place in Cork city on Monday (September 14).
Shortly before 4pm, a man in a wheelchair was on Gravel Lane when he was pushed to the ground and had his wallet stolen.
Gardaí attended and carried out a patrol of the area but no arrest was made.
Detectives from Bridewell Garda Station began investigating and a potential suspect was identified.
On Thursday (17 September), with the assistance of the Armed Support Unit, detectives executed a search warrant at a house in Cork and arrested a man.
The man, aged in his 40s, was brought to Bridewell Garda Station and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
He has since been charged and is due to appear before Cork City District Court on Friday morning.
