Spokespeople are asking those who were in the airport yesterday to check their suitcases.

The winning ticket for the National Lottery was sold at Dublin Airport yesterday, making the lucky owner a cool €45,000 richer.

Those who may have been travelling yesterday are being urged to check their luggage for the winning ticket, which was sold at the WH Smith store at Dublin Airport’s Terminal 1 on Tuesday.

The winning EuroMillions numbers were: 01, 12, 15, 29, 48

Lucky Stars: 03, 05

The winner is being urged to find the ticket, sign the back and contact the Prize Claim Team on 01-836 4444 to make arrangements.

This isn’t the first time the WHSmith store in the airport has been lucky. The shop sold a winning Lotto jackpot ticket worth a whopping €5.4million on Christmas Eve last year.

Chief Executive of the National Lottery, Dermot Griffin said: “We are at the height of holiday season so it’s incredibly likely that the winning ticket holder is currently lying on a beach somewhere and may be unaware that they have a lottery ticket worth almost €45,000 in their suitcase!”
