The woman will face a judge this evening.
Gardaí have arrested a woman in her early 20s after a healthcare worker was assaulted at Sligo Hospital earlier on Saturday morning (11 April).
In a statement issued this afternoon, Gardaí confirmed that a 24-year-old woman had been detained at Ballymote Garda station following the altercation, which took place at 7.30am this morning.
The woman is now due to appear before a special sitting of Sligo District Court this evening at 5pm.
