A woman has been charged with murder.

A 30-year-old woman was arrested and brought before Wexford District Court this evening (14 May), and has been charged with murder.

The charges refer to the murder of Philip Doyle, who was killed outside his home near Gorey in Wexford on 26 January earlier this year. The incident took place in Ramsgate Village, the largest housing estate in North Wexford.

Doyle was a father to young children.

Doyle, who was 33 at the time of his death, was found by Gardaí in front of his house, having suffered several stab wounds. Gardaí confirmed that a woman in her 30s has since been arrested at the time, charged with a breach of the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act.Wexford
