Woman dies after being hit by a truck in Kerry

A woman in her 50s died this morning (19 July) after being hit by a truck on Friday.

Gardaí are now renewing their appeal for witnesses in relation to the fatal road traffic collision that occurred at the Cleeney Roundabout, Killarney, Kerry at around 8.40am on 17 July.

The woman had been brought to University Hospital Cork following the incident, and here injuries were described as “serious” at the time. A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed that the woman passed away this morning.

The driver of the truck was uninjured in the incident.

Gardaí say they are renewing their appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Cleeney Roundabout, Killarney at around 8.30am and in particular road users with camera footage, to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064-667 1160 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
