Nightmare.

An Air Canada passenger said she was left terrified after waking up alone on a pitch black, locked plane.

Tiffani Adams said she fell asleep on the short 90-minute flight from Quebec to Toronto but awoke to to find herself on an empty plane.

She then said she tried to call her friend, but her battery had died.

Adams wrote about the ordeal on a Facebook post where she outlined what happened and how the incident had affected her.

“I wake up around midnight, few hours after [the] flight landed, freezing cold still strapped in my seat in complete darkness,” Adams said in the post.

“I attempt to charge my phone by plugging into every USB port I could find—no luck because when they shut the aircraft down there is no power whatsoever… since I can’t charge my phone to call for help I’m full on panicking because I want off this nightmare ASAP.”

After finding a torch in the cockpit, Adams said she managed to open a door, but then faced “a 40-50ft drop to the pavement below”.

She said she was spotted by a baggage attendant who brought a ladder truck to the plane and allowed her to descend safely.

After asking how she ended up there, she said the man then accompanied her to the airport building, where she was met by Air Canada representatives.

She said the incident had left her anxious and scared and she has had difficulty sleeping since.

An Air Canada spokesperson declined to share any additional details but said the airline is reviewing the incident according to CTVNews.ca.
