Tragic news.
A woman has died following a traffic incident in Sligo on Tuesday night (15 February).
The pedestrian in her 40s had been walking on the N15 between Grange and Cliffony when the incident occurred shortly before 10.20pm.
The road has since been closed, with Gardaí conducting an examination of the scene.
Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or those who may have any information relevant to the situation to contact them at Sligo Garda Station on (071) 915 7000 or any Garda station.
