Cardi B has never been one to shy away from political matters in the US. During the longest federal government shutdown in American history back in 2018, she made her opinions very clear, and more recently she has gotten into spats online with right-wing commentator Tomi Lahren. But this time she is playing the interviewer, as she quizzes Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders about his policies in the lead up to the 2020 presidential election. Throughout the interview (which takes place in a Detroit nail salon), the pair discuss police brutality, immigration, poverty, and racism in Donald Trump's America. Sanders shared the 10-minute interview on his Twitter page, accompanied by the caption: "Cardi B's nails are juuuust a little different than mine. Our views on the issues are pretty similar."
