UK Prime Minister Theresa May appeared on The Andrew Marr Show on Sunday morning to discuss her recent meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Trump had previously come out and said that his suggestion to Theresa May on how to handle Brexit negotiations was “too tough” for her.
When asked by Andrew Marr on Sunday what that specific suggestion was, the Prime Minister replied:
“He told me I should sue the EU. Not negotiate, sue them.”
May continued:
“But interestingly, what the President also said at that press conference was, ‘Don’t walk away from the negotiations because then you’re stuck’.”
