Donald Trump has finally responded to claims that his wife has a body double
Or many body doubles, we should say.
Every time Donald Trump makes an appearance with his wife Melania in public, the internet jokes about the fact that she often appears to look so different, to the point that there are genuine theories that she has a body double.
This theory/meme/genuine mystery was brought into the limelight once again this week, as one journalist went as far as to say that it was "100% not Melania Trump" who Trump could be seen holding hands with.
It's gotten to the point that the subject is even being discussed on national television over in America.
FAKE MELANIA CONSPIRACIES RETURN: The internet is buzzing again with theories that first lady Melania Trump is using an imposter to stand in for her — the co-hosts investigate. https://t.co/f8u2wc159S pic.twitter.com/XNYBT9U6S8

And it has now gotten so much media attention that Donald Trump has felt the need to address it.
The US President took to Twitter to say that the "deranged" Fake News media had doctored images of Melania, and that that was what propelled conspiracy theories.
The Fake News photoshopped pictures of Melania, then propelled conspiracy theories that it’s actually not her by my side in Alabama and other places. They are only getting more deranged with time!

It's unclear whether people actually believe that The First Lady has a body double, but we imagine that Trump's tweet will only further ignite the rumours.
This tweet from Trump means that in the past 24 alone, he has tweeted about the death penalty, Obama, Hilary Clinton, Russian spies, and late night television.
All in a day's work.
