The bulletins brought up on the screen seemed to disagree with what Sarah Huckabee was saying.

Sarah Huckabee is the current House Press Secretary under American President Donald Trump.

As she was recently questions from the press on Wednesday, CNN decided to partake in a bold strategy, which saw bulletins appear on the screen which looked like they were “fact-checking” her words.

The topic in question was climate change, which President Trump has had very controversial opinions about in the past.

More specifically, they were discussing a climate report conducted by the Trump administration.

While Huckabee spoke about climate change, a number of statistics appeared on the side of the screen which read:

  • Climate change report involved 300 scientists, 13 federal agencies
  • Co-author: Not paid for report
  • Open for review and transparency before publishing

Although these weren’t direct contradictions to what Huckabee was saying, but they did call into question the validity of the climate report, which according to AOL, which involved 300 scientists and 13 federal agencies, and the Trump administration’s dismissal of its findings.

CNN has been praised for its decision to act in such a way.
