Rugrats was The Sopranos of the animated world.
Okay, that might be a tad dramatic, but there is no doubting the affection and love people have for the animated series, which captured the hearts and minds of kids and parents alike.
The great thing for parents was that it was watchable, unlike say, Teletubbies, which was like being on a bad trip. Don't get me wrong, Teletubbies was hugely entertaining for little kids, but for the parents, very much less so.
Rugrats, on the other hand, was full of loveable characters and highly imaginative and entertaining storylines. It's no wonder the news of a revival of the show has been met with widespread joy.
Featuring the original voice cast, the show will be CGI animated and will return to Nickelodeon later this year.
