There has been no shortage of great underdog sports stories over the years.
If there’s one thing that all sports fans can agree on, is that anything can happen. No matter the odds, there is always a way to claw your way to the top.
That can be said whether you’re punching above your weight in the Premier League, or an athlete long written off by everyone else.
No one expected Greece to win the Euros in 2004, and we doubt many had a 17-year-old Boris Becker pegged for Wimbledon glory in 1985. As corny as it sounds, miracles do happen.
Seeing as this year will see the Rugby World Cup hit Japan, we were reminded of their famous victory over South Africa in the 2015 tournament. Just like the rest of the underdog sports stories we’ve gone for in this quiz, few believed it could ever happen until the final whistle.
