Recess was ahead of its time. It really was.
For a children's television show, it really had it all. To this writer's 10-year-old mind, every episode felt like a feature length film.
It also made me extremely jealous that in the 45 minutes those kids had on their lunch break they would get up to all sorts of adventures, when we'd be lucky to squeeze in one round of Tip The Can.
And at the core of those activities was a great group of friends, each as loyal and interesting as the next.
