Paul O’Connell was one of a number of the British and Irish Lions squad being put through their paces today and he’ll be keeping a hold of this beauty of a photo taken from their training camp in Wales.
All members of the 38-man squad apart from those involved in the various finals taking place this weekend were put through their paces in the Vale Resort outside Cardiff today and by the looks of some of the pictures doing the rounds, it was a case of getting down to the serious business straight away.
Having been on two tours already and acted as captain for one of them, Paul O’Connell has been there, done it and bought the t-shirt as far as the Lions are concerned, so no doubt he was well able for one of the gym exercises he was spotted doing in this great photograph earlier today.

Judging by the size of those guns, he’s obviously been following the Ron Burgundy approach to body-building…
