The brand new Munster alternative rugby jersey went on sale in Elvery’s in Limerick a few days ago, on the same day that a few famous rugby stars took up new jobs as sales assistants.
Conor Murray, Keith Earls and Paul O’Connell (who was last seen nearly killing 9-year olds in Boyne with his intense all-action style!) were ordered to put on the staff badges and try ship a few of the new kits during the week.
The three Ireland internationals will have to look at the fine print in their contracts in future as Munster seem to be utilising their skills far beyond the usual call of duty on the rugby pitch showing great industry leadership in getting the boys to work for their cash.
In fairness “work” seems to be a strong word – the lads generally horsed about the store as O’Connell intimidated young lads into buying the jersey.
The video is great craic and it’s probably the most ingenious way we’ve seen a sports team go about selling a new kit.
Although Murray complaining about working until 6 O’Clock? Jesus wept!
