We can all look back now at the match in Paris with great affection, but that last minute of the match felt like an hour of torture to the Irish.

We all screamed at the TV, 'Just hold on to it!!' We had battered the French scrum all day. It was our put in. Yet, somehow, the French finally got their act together in the scrum and stole it from us. Noooooo!!!!! It's like the All Blacks all over again. They are going to beat us, we are going to throw it away at the death! People turned away from the screen unable to watch any more. The agony of defeat being snatched from the jaws of victory was an all too familiar feeling. The Irish lads were not going to take this lying down though and in a phenomenal last effort, they gobbled up the French attacker and forced the turnover by means of winning a scrum after the clock had ticked past 80. Heart-stopping stuff, but so much more enjoyable to watch now that we know the outcome We've already watched this 1,237 times today, and we will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
