It was another vintage year for hurling and another vintage year for hurling goals.
Given that the two of them ended up contesting an enthralling All-Ireland final and another one a few weeks later, it is little surprise to see All-Ireland Champions Kilkenny and runners-up Tipperary featuring prominently here.
Unfortunately we couldn't source footage of some efforts we wanted to include - Lar Corbett's effort against Offaly in particular - we still think we've the makings of a decent list here.
Athough it didn't take place in a setting as glamorous as those that preceded it, we also think that the last major, from a underage club hurling encounter in Waterford, might be the best of the lot.
