Podge Collins and his brother Sean have decided not to make themselves available to the Clare hurlers next season. The two players will focus their attention on the Banner's gaelic football side, which is managed by their father Colm, in 2015. Sports journalist with Clare FM Derrick Lynch confirmed the news this morning... This will come as a massive blow to the Clare hurling setup because Collins was a key member in the 2013 All-Ireland winning run as he picked up an All Star and a hurler of the year nomination. Big, big news.
