Dublin had twice led by five points before Donegal turned the All-Ireland semi-final on its head.

Donegal looked to be in an impossible position but, led by Michael Murphy, dragged themselves back into the half and led for the first time through this goal from Ryan McHugh. Jim McGuinness's side led 1-08 to 0-10 at the mid-way point. Just minutes into the second half, McHugh struck again to send the visiting supporters delirious. Dublin had fallen to pieces and were eight points adrift after this goal from Colm McFadden.
