A MASSIVE number of people watched Ireland v Romania on TV3 on Sunday

TV3 must be chuffed.

The Irish rugby team are the hottest ticket in town right now and it’s not even our town. London was a sea of green as Joe Schmidt’s men rolled over Romania with a scoreline of 44-10 at Wembley Stadium.

Tv3 have just announced their audience figures for the match and they will make for very good reading for the Irish TV station.

Almost 1.2 million viewers (1,179,000) tuned in to see Ireland beat Romania in Sunday’s Rugby World Cup 2015 game. The match averaged 758,800 viewers on TV3, peaking at 887,000 in the final minutes. Ireland v Romania held a 59.2% share of the available viewing population, with a 62% share for 15-44’s.
