When you boil it down to just the numbers, Wayne Rooney has been a phenomenal player for Manchester United. Yes he cost a lot, and yes there’s been more than one incident that dismayed management and supporters alike but he has produced on the field for most of his time at Old Trafford.
That fact is reflected in the rather cool infographic that the club posted on Twitter today in honour of the England striker reaching the 200-goal mark for the Red Devils.
The graphic catalogues all his goals, when they were scored, in what competition, what area of the field he was in and even whether it was converted with the left foot, right foot or head.
In fact, it is almost perfect except for the head on the Rooney drawing they created. Those red dot eyes are giving us nightmares…
