Arsenal and Chelsea will play a friendly game in the Aviva this summer

World cup in Ireland

Great news for fans of the London teams.

During a period of time where the country has gone absolutely football mad, we have been given some great news for the summer.

We didn’t qualify for the World Cup, as we’re all painfully aware, but we are getting a tiny bit of the action.

Two of England’s biggest clubs in the world will face off against each other in the Aviva Stadium on 1 August.

Arsenal and Chelsea, who have both just had extremely disappointing seasons, will play a friendly match in Dublin.

Although the clubs wouldn’t normally break out all of the big guns for pre-season friendlies such as these, it could be a good chance to see some of the future stars that could take the Premier League by storm in years to come.

The two London sides took each other on a total of four times this season, with three out of the four being draws, and Arsenal edging the fourth.

Who will have the edge come August? You’ll have to go to find out.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday.
