As Liverpool and Villa agree Benteke deal, opinion is divided

The striker will move to Anfield for £32.5m

Liverpool and Aston Villa have agreed terms for the transfer of Christian Benteke.

That basically means that the Merseyside club have agreed to pay the player’s £32.5m buy-out clause. It’s a fair wedge of cash for a player who’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

The news has been greeted with mixed opinion. Some are excited about securing a proven Premier League goalscorer, whilst others think he is wildly overpriced.
