No doubt this was belted out in Paris sometime in the early hours of Sunday morning. Word.
As they showed last weekend, Ireland are a damn good rugby team, but on the evidence of the last few years they’re also some team for the party pieces, whether it’s Paddy Jackson and Simon Zebo lip-syncing to Jay-Z and Kanye, Fergus McFadden doing his brilliant Mike Tyson impersonation, or, eh, Rob and Dave Kearney discussing whether to have Corn Flakes or Weetabix for breakfast.
We weren’t aware that Jamie Heaslip is a natural born performer until this morning, when he decided to treat listeners of FM104’s Strawberry Alarm Clock to an impromptu version of Nelly’s ‘Hot in Herre’.
We’re no experts and sometimes can’t even tell the difference between Icey-T and Scoopy Scoopy Dogg Dogg, but it certainly sounded impressive to us.
While we’d like to applaud Jamie for a very commendable effort, we’d also like to remind him that when it comes to the King of Irish rapping sports stars, there’s only room for one man on the throne…
Hat-tip to the lads at the Strawberry Alarm Clock for sending this into us
