The real Ronan O’Gara had a chat with his Gift Grub counterpart on the Ian Dempsey show on Today FM this morning and as you would expect, the results were hilarious.
Gift Grub on the Ian Dempsey show on Today FM is always worth a listen, but when Mario manages to convince the real-life versions of his characters to converse with their Gift Grub alternatives, it’s especially brilliant, as has been the case with the likes of Roy Keane, Hector and Keith Duffy in the past.
This morning it was Ronan O’Gara’s turn and while the real-life ROG talked about his fluency in French and what he really thinks of the Gift grub version of himself, he also had a chat with the other ROG about Racing Metro, career highlights and how the cameras always focussed on O’Gara on the Irish bench after Jonathan Sexton missed a kick.
Paul O’Connell, meanwhile, buzzed in from Lions duty in Hong Kong for a chat to his old mucker(s).
Ronan’s young daughter Molly also intervened at one stage with more sensible questions for her Dad than Gift Grub ROG had but you hardly need us to big it up at this stage, have a listen to it yourself above.
