Big disappointment for the new summer signing…

Liverpool have confirmed that their new midfielder Adam Lallana will miss the start of the new season and could possibly be out for up to six weeks after picking up and injury on the club’s pre-season tour of America.

The England man sustained a knock to his lateral collateral ligament during a session at the Reds’ Harvard University training base in Boston.

The knee injury is bad but the club have confirmed that he doesn’t require surgery so that news will come as a relief to Brendan Rodgers who sees Lallana as a key member of his team for the new campaign.

The Reds are reportedly set to complete the transfers of Southampton’s Dejan Lovren, Lille’ s Divock Origi and QPR’s Loic Remy in the next few days.
