All eyes are on the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon this Saturday evening as the Champions League Final takes place between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

It’s the first time in the competition’s history that two teams from the same city will vie for the right to become the Champions of Europe. Atletico will be buzzing following their sensational capturing of the La Liga title last Saturday for the first time since 1996. Diego Simeone (pic below) has done an incredible job at Atleti and will be looking to complete the dream double over their fierce Madrid rivals.

FC Barcelona v Club Atletico de Madrid - La Liga

Real Madrid come into the final as favourites and for them to win after 90 minutes, the odds there are 10/11 with Atletico available at 10/3 and the draw coming in at 12/5. If you feel the match will be decided in extra-time or on penalties, the Real win is available at 9/20 and Atletico are at 17/10. Interesting to note that Atletico had the better of the two league games overall between the sides with a 2-2 draw at home and beating Real (pic below) in the Bernabeu 1-0.

If you fancy a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes in the final, it’s available at 16/1 and for Atletico to repeat their 1-0 win in the Bernabeu, you can have that at 10/1. Real Madrid fans will be hoping for a reversal in fortunes and for them to win 1-0, they are giving odds of 6/1. I’m thinking that Real Madrid are going to sneak this final by a scoreline of 2-1 and the price for that is 15/2.

The first goalscorer market is of course dominated by Cristiano Ronaldo, playing in his first Champions League Final for Real Madrid. He scored the first goal in the final before for Manchester United against Chelsea in 2008 (pic below) and for him to repeat that with Madrid, it’s priced at 3/1.

Manchester United v Chelsea - UEFA Champions League Final

Much of Atletico Madrid’s fortunes rest on the fitness of their prolific striker, Diego Costa. If he is fit and starts the game, he is priced at 11/2 to be first scorer. Real’s Karim Benzema, who is having a fine season is also available at 11/2 to be first scorer. The goalscoring hero for Atletico last week at the Camp Nou was centre-half, Diego Godin and for him to notch first goal, it’s available at 28/1. Gareth Bale (pic below) is nicely priced at 6/1.

The half-time/full-time market is always a popular one and if you fancy Real to lead from the front at both half-time and full-time, you can have odds of 2/1. For Atletico to do likewise the price is 13/2.
