Short and sweet.

Most of the media have been concerned with the fallout from Anfield following Brendan Rodgers' dismissal as Liverpool's manager as the focus now turns towards appointing his successor. Jurgen Klopp seems to be the man that's most likely to step into the 'Pool dugout but Brendan Rodgers has maintained his silence until now. The former Reds boss has just released a very brief statement regarding the clubs decision to part ways with his services. AP reporter Rob Harris has the text in full and while it doesn't say an awful lot, Rodgers' classy remarks regarding John W. Henry and the officials at the club deserve praise.
