We need this documentary now more than ever.
On Monday night, Ireland’s international football year came to an end with a fitting 0-0 draw against Denmark.
It was a year that saw us fail to reach the World Cup in heartbreaking fashion, get relegated from our Nations League group, scandal after scandal emerge from the camp, and the apparent loss of our most exciting player.
So yeah. It hasn’t really been a great year for Irish international football.
So we’d be forgiven for wanting to remember some of the finer days that this nation has had on a football pitch, and undoubtedly some of these moments came when Brian Kerr was in charge of our Under 16 and Under 18 teams.
As bizarre as the idea may seem today, both of these teams were crowned European Champions.
Brian Kerr managed players like Robbie Keane, Damien Duff and John O’Shea in this amazing team, and it’s not at all incorrect to suggest that we haven’t produced a top quality player of this ilk ever since.
Have a look at the trailer below:
This one is not to be missed!!!
