Will someone please convince Brian Kerr to start a podcast?
We’re huge fans of Brian Kerr at JOE. Of course we are, how could we not be?
His footballing knowledge is second to none, he’s a likable guy, and his use of Irish slang is top class.
This was as evident as ever during Virgin Media’s coverage of the Champions League on Wednesday night.
When discussing Tottenham Hotspurs’ current playing situation, he was describing the pitch and the poor condition that it’s in.
But that’s not how Brian Kerr put it…
He described it as “malojan.”
Graeme Souness asked what that meant, to which Kerr replied: “It means it’s not very good.”
And as if that wasn’t enough, he also described the pitch as being in “rag order”.
Souness seemed to love it, and you’re doing very well to get a smile out of him.
Have a look at the moment below, it’s comedy gold.
Brian: "The pitch has been malojan."
Graeme: "What's it been?"
Brian: "Malojan. It means not very good."
Graeme: "I like that."
Brian: "Rag order. That's another one for ya."
