Brian O’Driscoll had a pop at BT Sport and Craig Doyle this morning when they previewed an interview with him by highlighting that match he didn’t play in. You know the one we mean. In Australia. In the summer.
This morning, BT Sport tweeted about a forthcoming interview between BOD and Craig Doyle due to be broadcast this evening.
They headlined it ‘Brian O’Driscoll on Lions omission‘ and that framing of the piece wasn’t well received by the Irish rugby great. The tweet has since been deleted.
@btsport @craigadoyle thanks for that. One question in an interview & you put it in the headline. Typical.

He went on to tweet in a subsequent reply to a fan.
@Informalytics unbelievably annoying headline. So annoyed with it. Who cares any more.

The fact of the matter is that as soon as he was dropped from that Lions game, the focus was always going to be on the next time he came face to face with Warren Gatland. It’s the elephant in the room. It’s a question which has to be asked but we can see why he is p*ssed off with it as the lead into what we assume is a wide ranging interview ahead of a massive Six Nations game.
We only hope Brian is so annoyed that he takes out his frustrations on the Welsh this Saturday at the Aviva.
