While the focus of this story is based around Brian O'Driscoll's bodacious beach-blonde hair, we couldn't let the opportunity pass without mentioning our favourite moment involving Robbie Savage because it came via Roy Keane's autobiography, The Second Half.
While Keane was Sunderland manager, he was close to signing the Welshman and writes: "So I got Robbie’s mobile number and rang him. It went to his voicemail: ‘Hi, it’s Robbie – whazzup!’ like the Budweiser ad. I never called him back. I thought: ‘I can’t be fucking signing that.’” FYI, any excuse to tell that story is always welcome.
