Més que un club.

After the tragic plane crash that killed 19 Chapecoense players last November, much news abounded of the huge donations the club would be receiving from various players and clubs in the footballing community. Over time, it became clear that many of these reports were false. However, this week the President of Chapecoense Plínio David De Nes confirmed that the one club who did provide financial aid for the Brazilian side was Barcelona. "Only Barcelona have been with us from the very first moments," he told the Brazilian press. "They made money available to us and then in August they invited us to play the Gamper Trophy with the money divided between us." He added that Roma also offered to play a game against Chapecoense, but it turned out to be unfeasible due to a packed schedule. Even so, De Nes thanked all of the clubs who offered support "in one way or another." https://twitter.com/BarcaSpiral/status/842480839862771713?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
