Chicago Town Take Away Slice of the Action: Maxi penalty shoots Argentina into the World Cup final
Eventually Holland and Argentina went penalties and Maxi Rodriguez scored the deciding spot kick.
The preceding 120 minutes was far from good, with both Argentina and Holland both looking like they were happy to go to penalties from early on.
So it proved but in the shoot-out it was Argentina who did the business. Ron Vlaar and Wesley Sneijder had their spot-kicks saved by Romero while Argentina were flawless in their finishing.
In the end, Argentina's fourth penalty, by former Liverpool man Maxi Rodriguez, put Argentina into the final on Sunday.
