When Arjen Robben opened the scoring against Australia in this afternoon, it all seemed set up for a second comfortable win for the Dutch for the second game in succession. Tim Cahill had other ideas, responding to Robben’s strike with a stunning left-foot first-time volley that smashed off the underside of the bar and into the net for arguably the goal of the tournament so far.
