She played for Raheny United (pic above) as they defeated UCD Waves in the FAI Cup Final 2-1 after extra-time in the Aviva Stadium, and then she helped her GAA team, Sarsfields Mountmellick (pic below), to the Leinster Ladies football title with a 1-09 to 1-07 victory over Na Fianna of Dublin.
Clare was understandably elated and why wouldn't she be? Here she is on the Twitter machine expressing the joy:
