Pep Guardiola will leave his post as manager of Bayern Munich at the end of this season, with Carlo Ancelotti set to come in as his replacement.

Guardiola’s future has been the subject of much speculation for some time, with reports suggesting that he will end up in the Premier League next season. Manchester City currently look the most likely to secure his services and there were suggestions yesterday that a deal may already be in place for the Spaniard to succeed Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium. Bayern Chief Executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed Guardiola’s exit and plans to unveil Ancelotti as his successor at the end of this season to German newspaper BILD, saying: "We are grateful to Guardiola for everything he has given our club and hope that we will celebrate many successes together this season. “Ancelotti can be a very successful coach for FC Bayern. We look forward to working together." The club also tweeted the following this morning. https://twitter.com/FCBayernEN/status/678529958927466496 https://twitter.com/FCBayernEN/status/678531582152409092
