Especially when you add flights and accommodation.

As you’ve all heard by now, Conor McGregor will fight Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC Lightweight title at UFC 229 on 6 October.

Tickets for the event will officially go on sale to the general public this Friday at 6pm Irish time.

However, members of the UFC Fight Club will be first in line on Wednesday at 6pm Irish time on ufcfightclub, and UFC newsletter subscribers will have their chance on Thursday with presales at 6pm Irish time through UFC.com

Ticket prices at www.axs.com are listed at $2,505, $2,005, $1,505, $1,005, $755, $555, $405, $355, $305, $255, and $205, not including fees. There will be a maximum of eight tickets allowed per customer.

The much-anticipated fight appears to have been in the works for some time, but the UFC had to wait until the verdict of Conor McGregor’s recent court case before they could officially announce the bout.

Nurmagomedov, an undefeated Sambo fighter, has been vocal on social media and in interviews about his desire to face The Notorious in a fight and he’ll finally get his chance on 6 October.

The fighter from Dagestan is undefeated in 26 professional bouts and will likely provide one of the Dubliner’s toughest challenges to date.

Roll on October…
