Sunday night's alright for fighting.
The MTV VMAs took place on Sunday night, with the likes of Lil Nas X, Olivia Rodrigo, Justin Bieber and BTS among the big winners, but one of the major stories of the evening took place on the red carpet,
Rapper, actor and revivalist emo enthusiast Machine Gun Kelly – who won the Best Alternative award for 'My Ex's Best Friend' later in the evening – was involved in a pre-show altercation with none other than Conor McGregor.
It all kicked off when McGregor appeared to throw a drink at Kelly – real name Colson Baker – in front of the eyes of the media.

TMZ has speculated that McGregor intended to approach Kelly for a photograph only for Kelly to say something that McGregor couldn't hear properly.
Following this, Kelly's security team is reported to have pushed McGregor away, leading to the drink-throwing.
A spokesperson for McGregor has denied that he was looking for a photograph while McGregor himself later addressed the incident while speaking with Entertainment Tonight.
"I just showed up and I don't know," he explained.
"I don't even know the guy to be honest with you. Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight. I certainly don't fight little vanilla white rappers. I don't even know the guy, I don't know anything about him except that he's with Megan Fox."
