Congrats to the new dad-to-be.

After his demolition of Eddie Alvarez, Joe Rogan tried to get an insight into Conor McGregor’s plans for the future during their immediate post-fight interview, but all The Notorious was interested in talking about was getting his hands on the second belt.

The world watched in awe as the Dubliner made history, and the official press conference has revealed some interesting details. McGregor is set to be a new daddy which will probably result in him taking  some time away from the octagon.

Here’s what he said on:

The doubters “It feels great, it feels familiar. I saw it so clearly and consistently. I back it up with hours and hours of work. I’m very satisfied, grateful but not surprised”

His big reveal: “There’s a  few bombshells. One of them is that I’m going to be a new daddy and I’m crapping my jocks”. When asked when the baby was due, he had no idea if it was March or May!

McGregor mentioned that he might be taking a step back from the UFC with his child on the way, but he also has plans to further establish his power, status and rank in the company. “Where’s my shares, where’s my equity. I’ve both belts, a chunk of money and a family. I want ownership, equal share and what I’ve deserved. Bring me on board for real. I’m looking for an equity stake in the company”.

On his immediate plans, he said: “I’m just going to chill, enjoy these two belts and have a drink with my fans”.

Here are some of the highlights, as mentioned by prominent MMA journalist Ariel Helwani.
