From the country that brought you Bob Marley, here's another instant reggae classic
The Jamaican tourist board has decided to fully get behind their bobsled team at the Winter Olympics this year by releasing a song celebrating their involvement in the games, and it's a doozy.
Inspired by the country's strong tradition of producing brilliant reggae music and iconic artists like Bob Marlay, they've gone with this imaginatively titled number called 'The Bobsled Song', and we can see it sliding it's way straight to number one...maybe.
The song is written to sync up with the course, so if you hit play when they start their run, you'll notice the music and lyrics matching the team's run. It does make some reference to the famous Cool Runnings movie, but not enough in our book. Sure they had ready-made lyrics in "feel the rhythm, feel the ride" or "I see a bad-ass mother who don't take no crap off of nobody!".
You can download the song at bobsledsong.com or follow the team's progress through their Twitter account.
