Cristiano Ronaldo donates a staggering amount of money to help Nepal Earthquake victims

Class on the pitch and class off it.

Much like any other great athlete, Cristiano Ronaldo incites fierce debate, criticism and ire but there’s no denying that the Ballon D’or winner is an exceptional footballer.

It seems that the Real Madrid marksman is also an incredibly decent guy away from the pitch because French magazine Foot have reported that he has just donated €7,000,000 to the global charity ‘Save the Children’ as they carry out earthquake-relief efforts in Nepal.

The €7m figure was chosen as it’s CR7’s favourite number and we have nothing but admiration for the Portuguese maestro for this wonderful gesture.

Ronaldo and the Real Madrid fans may have their minds on over-turning the 2-1 deficit against Juventus tomorrow night but it’s nice to see that their best player is also thinking about the bigger things also.

He has also been asking his millions of Facebook followers to donate to the cause.
