The Spanish superstar commits to Old Trafford.
David De Gea has today signed a new four-year contract with Manchester United.
De Gea looked set to join Real Madrid all summer, but the transfer turned farcical when the relevant documents weren’t completed by the clubs in time on Deadline Day.
With no transfer possible until January at the earliest and De Gea likely to have become cup-tied in the Champions League by then, the possibility of the Spaniard signing a new deal increased.

Louis van Gaal has selected new signing Sergio Romero in every game so far this season, with mixed results.
Now that De Gea has committed to United, it will be interesting to see if the former Atletico shot-stopper is reinstated for the weekend clash with Liverpool and if his long-term future is actually at Old Trafford.
